About the Warehouse Technician Role The Warehouse Technician will work closely with internal departments and perform an array of functions that may include assisting in the receiving, processing, treating of seeds and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. Additionally, the technician will provide back up to the Mill Operator and perform milling activities as part of the seed cleaning process if needed. Essential Job Duties Warehouse Prepares and completes orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship); Receives and processes warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store); Performs inventory controls and keeps quality standards high for audits; Keeps a clean and safe working environment and optimizes space utilization; Reports any discrepancies; Communicates and cooperates with supervisors and coworkers; Enters Data to create shipments and update inventory using an ERP system Performs maintenance, operates and maintains warehouse vehicles and equipment; Follows quality service standards and complies with procedures, rules and regulations; Keeps all work areas clean and maintained, removing any leftover or hazardous materials at the end of each shift; Performs other duties as requirement by management, with some Saturday work; Qualifications and Education High School or GED and/or two (2) years' experience preferred; Minimum 6 months' experience as a forklift driver or equivalent Experience working in a seed warehouse environment a plus; Terrific communication skills to coordinate smoothly with team members and truck drivers; Ability to read and write in English for checklists, documentation of inventory and completing other forms as needed; Computer data entry experience using the ABS database; Ability to perform basic math problems (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, etc.) Comfortable calculating quantities of product on partial pallets based on the number of items in a layer on a pallet; Ability to work in a rapid paced environment, prioritize tasks, meet multiple deadlines and ensure that work is accomplished in a timely fashion; Be insurable with a valid driver's license and able to legally work in the United States; Physical Demands/Working Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
