Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Worker/Driver, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations and timely delivery of goods. This energetic position combines hands-on materials handling with responsible driving duties, offering an engaging environment for motivated individuals. You'll be responsible for safely managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and executing shipping and receiving tasks—all while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining high standards of efficiency. Responsibilities Safely operate warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, cranes, and other heavy machinery to load, unload, and move materials efficiently. Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, updating inventory management software, and maintaining organized storage areas. Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy items, stocking shelves, and packing orders while following proper manual handling techniques. Execute order picking and order fulfillment processes to ensure accurate shipment preparation. Assist with shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipments against purchase orders, preparing shipping labels, and ensuring proper documentation using systems like AS400 or warehouse management systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations including OSHA standards and PPE use during all warehouse activities. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting routine safety inspections. Support warehouse management in implementing logistics strategies that optimize warehouse distribution and operations efficiency. Requirements Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar heavy equipment. Strong understanding of inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS). Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while following OSHA safety regulations. Basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring materials, and processing shipments accurately. Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred; warehouse supervisor experience is a plus. Technical proficiency with material handling equipment operation including forklift certification or equivalent training preferred. Knowledge of safety protocol adherence including PPE use and OSHA guidelines for safe warehouse practices. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, packaging, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving tasks. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating light trucks or delivery vehicles is advantageous. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards and quality control.
