The Warehouse Assistant will provide support for all responsibilities and activities that typically occur in a warehouse: receiving delivered goods, storage, inventory, operation of mechanical equipment, ordering, packing equipment for delivery, provide customer service etc.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Move freight stock or other materials and equipment from storage or loading areas, delivery vehicles or containers by hand or using equipment such as a forklift or pallet jack
- Receive and sort cargo/deliveries before loading and unloading; attach tags or mark with identifying information
- Provide good customer service to both external and internal clients
- Read and execute work orders
- Stack inventory and keep this organized
- Record numbers of units handled or moved using daily production sheets or work tickets
- Maintain storage areas and equipment
REQUIREMENTS
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Provide excellent customer service; have outstanding interpersonal and conflict resolutions skills.
- A self-starter with a positive attitude and a high level sense of organization and initiative
- Fast learner, flexible and can work independently with some supervision
- Solution based response and willingness to learn and possess a "roll up your sleeves" attitude
- Detail oriented and organized
- Dependable, positive and self-motivated team player
- Must be able to operate mechanical equipment such as a forklift, ladders etc.
- Must adhere to safety standards and regulations that govern warehouse operations and practices
- Determine machine operating errors and have the ability to troubleshoot issue
- Effectively manage time; reliable and dependable
- Must be able to work under a fast paced environment and handle and meet aggressive deadlines
- Must be organized and able to keep warehouse clean and inventory supply organized
- Comfort and familiarity with a computerized system of keeping track of stock and costs
- Learn what each equipment does and how this works
- Must have a high school diploma or higher; minimum of at least 1 year warehouse experience
- Must be able to work M-F 7:30am - 4:00pm
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift 30+lbs.; this position requires a lot of bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping and lifting
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment and machinery such as a forklift
DESIRED SKILLS
- Comfortable with computers and various office software applications
- Forklift operator certified (we can certify as well) Norman S.

Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
