Warehouse Assistant

Responsibilities Assist with inventory control by accurately tracking stock levels using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) Operate heavy equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently Support order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving activities to ensure timely order fulfillment Conduct stock stocking and replenishment tasks to maintain optimal inventory levels within the warehouse Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance as needed Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards during all materials handling and heavy equipment operations Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall efficiency Qualifications Proven experience in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or manufacturing settings Valid certification for operating reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment preferred Strong understanding of inventory management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy machinery use Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshooting on equipment Experience with RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), and order picker technology is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for those interested in advancing into leadership roles Join us in creating a safe, efficient, and productive warehouse environment!
