Job purpose This job requires strong computer and customer service skills in conjunction with a solid knowledge in construction equipment and aggregate parts. This position serves with both internal and external customers as must as have the ability to keep a calm during stressful high-call volume and other demanding situations. Duties and responsibilities Pull and organize orders for delivery from warehouse of technician's shelf by part number and quantity as directed. Will deliver parts to field technicians, drop off parts for repair or pick up items needed for service department. Load materials into vehicle and install bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Determine delivery vehicle is in an operative condition daily by completing daily inspection/log. Maintain a clean vehicle and operate vehicle in a safe manner daily. Maintain cleanliness of tool room by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and emptying trash, as necessary. Maintain supplies, make sure tooling is check in and out and in working order. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Loads, unloads and moves materials within or near warehouse plant or worksite. Examines goods shipped and verifies completeness of shipments against bill of lading, invoices, and other records. Route incoming shipments/goods to respective departments. Counts and compares quantity and identification numbers of units against order. Reads work order or follows oral instructions Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or fork lift Prepares products for shipment Prepares identifying information/ shipping instructions on containers Pulls stock orders Qualifications High school diploma; or equivalent 2+ years' experience in dealership parts counter and/or inventory management Must pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Record search To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient utilizing computers including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Internet Explorer and general laptop or desktop computer use. Working conditions The employee will generally be working in an office environment. The employee may be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment. The employee could occasionally be exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the workplace is moderate. Why Power Equipment Company?
