  • About the Role
  • We are seeking safety-focused and hardworking individuals to join our team as
  • Transloaders / Material Handlers
•. This position is responsible for supporting railcar transloading operations, transferring regulated and non-regulated materials using chemical hoses and specialized equipment in an industrial outdoor environment. This is a hands-on role for candidates who enjoy physical work, prioritize safety, and are comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Employees receive extensive training, including HazWoper certification opportunities, and have access to consistent overtime.

  • + Monday-Friday + Start time typically between
  • 6:00 AM and 6:30 AM
  • + 8-hour shifts with overtime available + Start times may vary slightly based on seasonal daylight and permit requirements

  • Employees will move to one of the following permanent schedules:

  • 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM
  • + Monday-Friday + Regular overtime available
  • 3rd Shift

  • 6:00 PM - 4:00 AM

  • Key Responsibilities
  • + Safely perform transloading operations involving railcars and industrial materials.
+ Load and unload regulated and non-regulated products using chemical hoses and material handling equipment. + Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies. + Properly wear and utilize required PPE, including respirators, Tyvek suits, fall protection equipment, and other safety gear. + Climb railcars and equipment while adhering to fall protection requirements. + Work safely around chemicals, rail spurs, railcars, and industrial equipment. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. + Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient site operations. + Participate in safety training programs, including HazWoper training when required. + Support operations in all weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
  • Required Qualifications
  • + High school diploma or GED.
+ Previous experience in material handling, industrial labor, warehouse operations, or transloading. + Ability to safely work around railcars, chemicals, and heavy industrial equipment. + Comfortable working outdoors for the majority of each shift. + Ability to wear a respirator and other required PPE for extended periods. + Ability to climb ladders and equipment and work at elevated heights. + Strong commitment to workplace safety. + Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime as needed. + Ability to complete all required safety and HazWoper training.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + Experience working around railcars, rail spurs, or rail yard operations. + Chemical handling experience in an industrial environment. + Environmental services or regulated material handling experience. + Forklift, material handling, or warehouse experience. + Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized transloading operations.
  • Work Environment
  • This position is based in an industrial rail yard and is primarily performed outdoors. Employees work around railcars, chemicals, hoses, pumps, and material handling equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment. While an office trailer, break areas, shade, and climate-controlled spaces are available, the majority of work is performed outside in varying weather conditions.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce City, CO.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $25.
00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
