Driver Location:

Platteville, CO Reports to: Warehouse Manager Primary Objectives for the position Fill all scaffold tickets and material requisitions for jobs

Load & unload trucks with the use of forklift

Maintain scaffold & equipment inventory, including component counts and stacking as needed

Safely load and transport scaffolding / materials to / from jobsites to support projects

Daily documented inspection of warehouse delivery truck and trailers to DOT requirements, ensure equipment is safe operating condition prior to use.

Support tracking of scaffold, insulation, and consumable inventory, as well as coordination of inventory movement between multiple jobsites for the Branch

Maintain a thorough, accurate inventory of scaffolding, equipment and supplies

Keep a clean and organized warehouse and laydown yard (where equipment is stored / maintained

Demonstrate ownership of the warehouse and yard, the condition reflects the owner of the work

Inspect & package items for shipment by courier, motor and/or contract freight loads

Color code tools & equipment

Repair tools & equipment where and when possible

Perform minor truck maintenance

Develop understanding of warehouse operations and Warehouse Manager role

Package items for shipment by courier, motor and/or contract freight loads

Accomplish any Special Projects that are needed

Report to work on time

Provide proper notification of absence.

Must demonstrate behaviors consistent with Classic Industrial's Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct

Must maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance appropriate for the position and situation.

Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Requirements High School Graduate

Maintain a Current Valid DOT Medical Card and CDL License

Pass a pre-employment UA Screen

Pass and Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Report and Background Check to enable operation of Classic Equipment and Vehicles Additionally, as part of the Classic team you must: Think and plan strategically

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Physical:
Body Positions:

Physically this person will stand most of the day / sit during driving deliveries

Body Movements:

One must be able to climb, bend, stoop, squat and reach. Must be able to lift 50

  • 75lbs without assistance.
Body Senses:

This position requires the full use of vision in order to read paperwork and requisitions, as well as full hearing and good communication skills to communicate with employees, vendors and outside agencies

Mental:
Mathematics:

Mental ability is required to complete math and formulas.

Language:

This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak English in order to: read requisitions, purchase orders, delivery tickets and to communicate with vendors and employee(s).

Reasoning:

Dealing with vendors, drivers, employees and others in the accomplishment of the goals of the Company.

Computer:

Working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, Outlook, etc. a plus, but training is available to qualified candidate.

Experience:
Required:

1-3 years of CDL experience operating pickup truck and trailer exceeding 26,000 lbs, not tractor trailer.

3 years of safe driving record

Preferred:

3-5 years' experience in Construction or Warehousing.

3-5 years' experience in

Shipping and Receiving/Logistics Working Conditions:

The majority of the time will be spent in and around the warehouse and on the road delivery materials to project sites primarily in Denver Metro and Northern Colorado. One off situation may occur where role may be required to deliver materials to further distances in Colorado and bordering states, but this would be limited.

Working Hours:

40 hours a week minimum 7:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. is standard Start / Stop time at the Warehouse in Platteville CO. Work hours may shift to an earlier start and stop dependent on project delivery schedule and location. Ability to work overtime as required and Saturdays a plus, Overtime will be project support dependent on a weekly basis.
