Organize, stage, and relocate materials to support ongoing construction activities. Maintain a clean and orderly job site by sweeping, removing debris, wiping down surfaces, and performing general cleanup tasks. Perform minor carpentry-related tasks such as painting touch-ups, fixing trim, and completing small punch list items to reduce the need for subcontractor callbacks. Use hand and power tools safely and correctly to assist with various construction tasks. Follow detailed instructions and directions provided by the superintendent and other site leadership. Support subcontractors and other trades as needed with general labor and site preparation. Adhere to all site safety rules, procedures, and guidelines while working indoors and outdoors. Assist with basic measurements and layout using tape measures and other standard tools. Work flexibly with changing tasks and priorities as construction needs evolve. Flexible attitude with strong communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and teammates. Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying materials, and working on your feet for extended periods. Comfort working with both hand and power tools in an active construction environment. Reliability and punctuality for a 7:00 AM start time on scheduled workdays. Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work area, including regular sweeping and cleaning tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Carpentry experience, including experience with trim work, framing, or finishing tasks. Painting experience, especially with touch-ups and finishing work. Experience completing punch list items on residential or commercial construction projects. Familiarity with working in both interior and exterior construction settings. Ability to adapt to working some Saturdays when subcontractors are on site. Strong problem-solving skills and initiative to identify and complete small tasks without constant supervision. Why Work Here? You will join a long-term construction project with at least 12 months of steady work and the potential for conversion to a permanent role as new projects are awarded. The environment values reliability, flexibility, and strong communication, offering opportunities to broaden your construction skills while working alongside experienced professionals. You can expect consistent hours, exposure to a variety of tasks, and the chance to grow your experience in both general labor and light carpentry. Work Environment The standard schedule runs from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work when subcontractors are on site. You will work in a mix of outdoor areas and inside unfinished buildings, typical of an active residential construction project. The role involves regular use of hand and power tools, frequent material handling, and continuous movement throughout the site.
