We are currently looking for a dedicated individual to join our team in Bloomfield, CT for a 12-month contract position. This role operates on a standard shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST with a compensation rate of $21 per hour. The primary objective of this position involves the manual transport of freight, inventory, and various supplies, alongside general labor tasks to support warehouse operations. Core Duties Label containers with necessary identification or apply appropriate markings. Review work orders or listen to verbal directives to clarify task requirements and necessary equipment. Document the volume of units processed and relocated via daily production logs or tracking tickets. Ensure the efficient movement of stock and materials between storage, production zones, and transport vehicles to facilitate smooth operations. Organize cargo systematically prior to the loading or unloading process. Construct shipping crates and product containers utilizing hand tools and prepared lumber. Operate hoisting equipment and winches to manage the loading and unloading of cargo. Secure items into containers and perform necessary repacking for damaged goods. Retrieve essential tools and supplies from storage areas and ensure their proper return once tasks are complete. Required Proficiencies Strong written and verbal communication skills combined with analytical and troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a focus on precision. Understanding of protocols, equipment, and strategies essential for maintaining site security and protecting institutional assets. Background and Qualifications Completion of a High School diploma or GED is mandatory. Between one and three years of relevant professional experience. Technical Requirements Essential Skills Capacity to lift up to 30 pounds. Proficiency in basic computer operations. Practical experience working with Microsoft Excel or comparable software applications. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with data entry tasks.
