Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team and become an essential part of our growing distribution operation! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods through various warehouse functions as well as supporting order fulfillment, shipping and receiving. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, reach trucks and pallet jacks to efficiently load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse Assist with order picking and packing using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to ensure accurate order fulfillment Support warehouse distribution activities by loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently Stock shelves, organize inventory, and conduct regular checks to maintain optimal warehouse organization Assemble boxes or other cartons required for shipment Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to standard shipping needs for Domestic and International shipments Prepare shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them correctly for shipping and receiving processes Utilize basic math skills for inventory counts, order calculations, and verifying shipment details Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the warehouse environment Experience Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution center preferred but not required; paid training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, or MRP software is a plus Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, or order pickers is a plus Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing processes, and inventory control techniques is a plus Required Competencies Basic computer skills Ability to read the English language Daily physical lifting up to 50 lbs., unassisted Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately and efficiently Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a physically active environment Self-motivated and able to complete task assignments Observe all safety requirements Maintain a neat and clean work environment MUST be able to commute to Centerbrook, CT Schedule Monday - Friday, weekends as needed by employer Hours are flexible Wage Salary is based on experience Paid bi-weekly Join JHS Enterprise as a Warehouse Worker, and be part of our dedicated team committed to excellence!
