Full time (40 hours / week), onsite at the Maison Luna warehouse Maison Luna is a Norwalk, Connecticut-based home decor retailer specializing in artisanal, handcrafted planters and ceramic pots. The pots range from small tabletop pots around 10" tall, to large outdoor planters that are 4ft wide, as well as extra tall statement pots that are 6ft tall. Maison Luna imports pots from all over the world, with containers coming in every month. Both palletised freight deliveries and small Fedex parcels go out to customers on a daily basis. You will run two very different kinds of orders out of the same warehouse. Both need careful attention. Small parcels. A few pieces every day going out by FedEx, carefully packed to a high standard so nothing arrives broken. Large freight pallets. Vessels 2ft to 6ft tall, worth thousands of dollars each, crated and palletized. These go out white glove delivery, by LTL freight, or by sprinter van for direct delivery.
About the role:
Receiving and Inventory:
Receive inbound shipments from our makers, including loose-pack and pallet deliveries. Inspect everything as it arrives. Document and photograph any damage. Run inventory counts on a weekly basis and flag anything running low. Keep the counts in Shopify matching what is actually in the warehouse.
Small parcel fulfillment:
Pick, pack, and ship daily orders accurately and on time. Pack to the standard the brand requires, using the specific foam and packing materials the founders set for each product.
Large piece and freight fulfillment:
Crate, palletize, and prepare oversized pieces for shipment. Book LTL and pallet freight, prepare BOLs, and schedule pickups. Co-coordinate white glove delivery and sprinter van shipments. Handle customer pickups directly from the warehouse.
Operational Support:
Pull, pack, and load inventory for photography / marketing shoots and for in-person markets, support the Maison Luna team on site during these events, and reconcile returned inventory. Process returns and inspect what comes back in. Document breakage and damage clearly, with photos, and hand it off to the founders. File carrier claims. Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe. May be responsible for driving a van as company needs
Required Experience:
Able to lift 50 lbs or more regularly and operate a pallet jack (reasonable accommodations available). Working knowledge of LTL and pallet freight, BOLs, and carrier claims. Three or more years in warehouse or fulfillment work, including palletizing / strapping Experience crating pallets Retail stock room management experience also counts. Genuinely careful and detail oriented. Someone who chooses quality over speed every time. Willingness to roll up your sleeves and help with whatever is needed in our small business. Drivers license and clean driving record required. Forklift experience would be helpful.
Bonus:
Comfortable working in Shopify.

Compensation:
Hourly Rate:
$25 - $30 an hour depending upon experience . Compensation will be reviewed annually as the Company grows and your responsibilities evolve.

Schedule :
  • Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm , this can be somewhat flexible and may need to change slightly, depending on company needs (e.
g. 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm).
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
