If you've worked in warehouse associate jobs, warehouse worker roles, or distribution center environments, you understand how important every step of the process is. This Warehouse Specialist role supports internal warehouse operations focused on stocking, pulling inventory and shipping product to other Saf-Gard locations and retail partners. Unlike our direct-to-customer site, this location primarily moves products between internal warehouses and distribution points. This facility operates in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Team members should be prepared to work in varying conditions and dress accordingly. At Saf-Gard Safety Shoe Company, we believe in keeping things straightforward. No bureaucracy. What You'll Do Stocking (InboundWarehouse Operations) Receive and unload incoming shipments (loading dock operations) Stock product into warehouse aisles and maintain organized inventory locations Consolidate and reorganize aisles for efficiency and inventory accuracy Follow daily direction from team leads on stocking priorities Support general warehouse operations and stock replenishment Pulling (Outbound Internal Distribution) Pull products based on priority orders, including backorders and replenishment requests Support high-priority order fulfillment when large internal orders require full-team support Prepare outbound shipments for other Saf-Gard warehouse locations, including New Castle and other non-Delaware sites Print and manage labels for outbound shipments (warehouse management system / WMS activity) Stage product for shipment and ensure correct order accuracy Wrap and palletize outbound product for transport (packing and shipping / outbound logistics) Coordinate movement of product to internal distribution locations What We're Looking For Experience in warehouse jobs, warehouse worker roles, warehouse specialist or material handler positions Ability to perform order fulfillment, shipping and receiving and inventory control tasks Comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution center or fulfillment center environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy and quality control Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment Willingness to learn warehouse systems and processes (WMS experience a plus) Reliable, team-oriented and able to work independently when needed Preferred Qualifications Experience with order picker, pick pack ship or warehouse operations Familiarity with loading dock operations, inbound logistics or outbound logistics Experience with cycle counts, stock replenishment or inventory control systems Previous work in returns processing or reverse logistics environments Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) Schedule Full-time position Multiple shift structures depending on department assignment Weekend availability required depending on role Shifts run 9am until work is completed Schedules are subject to change; confirmation provided prior to interview CompensationBenefits Company-paid dental, vision, long-term disability, short-term disability, and life insurance beginning the first of the month after 60 days Multi-tiered medical insurance plans to choose from (benefits valued at over $10,000 annually) 8 paid holidays per year PTO available after 90 days (starting at 3.08 hours per pay period, approximately 1.5 weeks annually), with opportunities to earn additional PTO based on tenure 401(k) plan with 50% employer match on first 6% of employee base pay About Saf-Gard We've been in the safety footwear business for more than 40 years.
