Union Warehouse Selector (DC) Mitchell Companies - 3.2 Washington, DC Job Details Full-time $17.65 - $17.95 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Basic math High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Warehouse Selector (DC) Full-Time | Monday-Thursday | Day or Night Shift | Warehouse Operations Mitchell Companies is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Selector to accurately select, organize, and stage products for customer deliveries. This position plays an important role in ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and on time. This is a hands-on, physically active warehouse position. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, reliable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable performing physical tasks throughout the shift. Why Join Mitchell?
Day Shift:
$17.65 per hourNight Shift:
$17.95 per hour 4-day workweek — Monday through Thursday Opportunity to choose between day and night shifts Stable, year-round employment with an established company Hands-on warehouse experience Team-oriented work environment Opportunity to grow within warehouse operations Benefits and additional opportunities available based on company eligibility What You'll Do Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, or customer orders Accurately select, stack, organize, and stage products based on scheduled deliveries and warehouse layout Report damaged, missing, or incorrect products to the Warehouse Manager Ensure products are properly organized and prepared for timely delivery Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts and help identify discrepancies Work closely with warehouse employees and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment as needed and when properly certified Complete required paperwork or documentation related to warehouse and inventory activities Perform additional warehouse-related duties as assigned What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, and pull for extended periods Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately Basic math and documentation skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper lifting techniques Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment Preferred Qualifications Previous warehouse, logistics, or material-handling experience Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks Familiarity with inventory management systems or warehouse management software (WMS) Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures in warehouse environmentsSchedule Monday-Thursday Day Shift:
10:00 a.m.-8:30 p.m.Starting Pay:
$17.65 per hourNight Shift:
6:00 p.m.-4:30 a.m.Starting Pay:
$17.95 per hour Work Environment & Physical Requirements This is a physically active warehouse position.Employees routinely:
Work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise Lift, carry, push, and pull products and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
