Job Description

Summary The ideal candidate has an upbeat attitude and possesses strong customer service skills. Working as a Marina Dockhand, you will be working fully outside and in the elements. This position includes securing guests vessels up to 150ft in length to their slips, dock side check ins, ice/provision deliveries and more. The Dockhand position also doubles as a Mate onboard our 42 Wesmac charter boat. While out on charter, which trips range between 1.5 hours and 4 hours, you will be assisting guests, making sure they are comfortable during their cruise. Essential Functions Job duties include, although are not limited to: Dockside check ins
  • Face of the Marina to our guests. Will inform guests of all the amenities that are included while staying at the marina. Assisting incoming/outgoing boats
  • helping our guests securely dock their boats to our dock. Assist with shore power, water hookup. Golf Cart
  • Will assist our guests bring provisions, packages, ice to their boats with our Marina golf cart.
Self-motivated, ability to fulfill all tasks in an efficient and accurate manner. Assist guests during charters including boarding, preparing activities like paddleboards, water carpet and snorkel gear. Offer food and beverage during charter. Constant interaction with guests Assists the Captain with docking vessel in and out of slip, line handling, fenders, etc. Assist Captain with vessel checklist Maintenance of vessels
  • washdowns, polishing, assisting Captains with minor repairs Internal Relationships Reports to Marina Supervisor, works alongside the vessel s captain while on Charters.
External Relationships Has regular contact with members and hotel guests on a daily basis. Qualifications N/A Education/Experience Requirements Drug free and prepared to enter Maritime Consortium High School Diploma or GED Prior marine experience preferred Prior customer service experience preferred Physical Requirements Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing. In the United States, we are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
