About the
Role:
The Waterwork/Plumbing Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse by managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of plumbing and waterworks materials. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing stock to optimize space and accessibility, and preparing orders for timely delivery to customers or job sites. The associate will collaborate closely with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to support seamless supply chain operations. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent damage to materials and ensure a safe working environment. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall success of the company by supporting the availability and quality of plumbing supplies needed for various projects across the United States.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working in a warehouse or inventory management role, preferably in plumbing or construction materials. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software or systems. Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely, typically up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment. Knowledge of plumbing and waterworks products and terminology. Experience with order fulfillment and shipping logistics. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime if needed. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of plumbing and waterworks materials against purchase orders. Organize and store inventory in designated locations to maximize warehouse efficiency and accessibility. Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately and promptly for shipment or customer pickup. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems and conduct regular stock counts. Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of materials to prevent damage or injury. Assist with loading and unloading trucks, using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to resolve inventory discrepancies or order issues. Support warehouse cleanliness and organization to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
