Warehouse Associate Join a small family business where every person and every order matters. Davie, Florida | Monday-Friday | $33,000 gross annually | Paid biweekly The short version: We need a dependable person who wants to become real help to a small team: someone who works with urgency, notices what needs attention, asks questions, learns patterns, and adapts as our systems improve. About Us We are a very small, family-owned dental and medical supplies business. Because our team is small, each employee has a visible effect on whether orders move accurately and on time. We work closely, share responsibilities, and step in for one another throughout the day. We are modernizing several of our systems soon. The right person can learn how the business operates today, remain flexible during the transition, and confidently learn new processes and technology as they are introduced. What You Will Do 1. Prepare customer orders by navigating a warehouse organized primarily by manufacturer and alphabetically. 2. Match product descriptions, reference numbers, quantities, expiration dates, and item condition to the sales order. 3. Select appropriate boxes, labels, stickers, and packing materials; stage orders for manager inspection and approval. 4. Invoice orders using the correct process depending on type of website, payment method, paper color, and order type. 5. Package each product according to fragility and spill risk: bubble-wrap fragile items, secure caps against leaks, apply required fragile labels, and strap cartons when required. 6. Prepare recycled cartons safely by re-taping the bottom and removing or fully covering all old shipping, handling, warning, and hazard labels. 7. Package products securely without wasting materials or adding unnecessary shipping weight. 8. Ship orders, confirm payment status when required, and place completed packages in the correct carrier area. 9. Recognize, mark, and communicate out-of-stock, low-stock, partial, backorder, and short-expiry situations. 10. Receive, inspect, count, and restock inventory and operating supplies; return every product, tool, document, cart, and supply to its designated location. 11. Maintain clean bathrooms, workstations, common areas, carts, shelves, and warehouse spaces; remove loose garbage and flatten discarded cardboard before disposal. 12. Help coworkers, close boxes, move packages, restock, clean, or ask what is needed whenever your main station is caught up. What Success Looks Like Here 13. You stay aware of the room instead of focusing only on the task directly in front of you. 14. You work at a steady, functional pace while protecting accuracy. 15. You ask when an instruction or storage location is unclear and confirm the correct answer instead of guessing or putting something wherever it fits. 16. You learn the reasons behind a process, recognize patterns, and use judgment rather than working robotically. 17. You communicate immediately about shortages, last units, mistakes, delays, and unusual situations. 18. You finish the job in front of you, then find the next useful thing independently or ask where help is needed. 19. You take pride in contributing to a small team rather than doing only the minimum required to receive a paycheck. Work Environment and Expectations 20. This is an active warehouse role that requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, packaging, restocking, and moving between stations for most of the day. 21. Personal phones stay put during working time except for emergencies or necessary communication. A paid 30-minute lunch is provided. 22. Conversation and friendly relationships are welcome as long as the work continues, accuracy is protected, and the team is not slowed down. 23. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential. Occasional delays happen; repeated lateness or unexplained time away from the work area does not meet the role standard. 24. Training is progressive. Employees learn the full order cycle over time and are expected to understand how their work affects the next station. 25. Headphones are not permitted during training. Any future use requires manager approval and may not interfere with communication, awareness, or safety. 30-Day Probationary Period All new hires begin with a 30-day probationary period. During these first 30 days, the employee must consistently demonstrate: 26. Reliable attendance and punctuality. 27. No headphone use while in training. 28. Acceptable accuracy and a functional, improving work pace. 29. A willingness to ask questions, confirm understanding, and follow instructions. 30. Initiative to stay productive and help teammates when assigned work is complete. 31. Respectful, professional conduct with managers, coworkers, customers, and the workplace. 32. Completion of required training, study assignments, knowledge checks, and practical tests. Progress will be reviewed during the period. Employment may end before or at the conclusion of the 30 days if these standards are not met, subject to applicable law and company policy. Completion of the period does not guarantee continued employment. Scheduled Hours Monday-Thursday 9:30 AM-5:00 PM Friday 9:30 AM-3:30PM Compensation:
Gross annual pay is $33,000, issued biweekly rather than at an hourly rate. Work time is recorded as required by law and company policy. Qualifications 33. Comfort using a computer, learning QuickBooks workflows, changing printer settings, and working across different order systems. 34. Strong attention to detail, pattern recognition, communication, and basic math. 35. Ability to remain on your feet and moving for most of the workday and to lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 pounds; most cartons weigh approximately 10-25 pounds, with reasonable accommodation where applicable. 36. Reliable transportation and the ability to consistently work the stated schedule. 37. Prior warehouse, fulfillment, shipping, inventory, or QuickBooks experience is helpful but not required. We will train a capable person who brings effort, honesty, and follow-through. How to Apply Submit your resume and brief answers to the following questions: 38. Why does working for a very small family business appeal to you? 39. When you finish your assigned task and other people are still working, what do you do? 40. Tell us about a time you had to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy. 41. Describe a process or computer system you had to learn and how you handled changes to it. 42. Can you reliably work the complete schedule listed above and follow a phone-away-during-work expectation? Please apply if You want to be trusted, trained, and useful; you care when your work affects other people; and you are ready to contribute consistently to a small business that is growing and changing.Pay:
