Job Description

JOB TITLE/ASSIGNMENT
Position:

Storekeeper / Warehouseman

Qualifications

Job Goal

To assist in the operation that ensures full efficiency in the acquisition, storage, and distribution of supplies.

Reports To

Director of Operations & Facilities

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Performance Responsibilities Supervises warehouse worker.

Receives, dates, and numbers all supplies as per data processing computer procedures.

Complies with auditors' guidelines and requests as recommended.

Rotates all warehouse stock as per HRS and state guidelines.

Checks all freezers and coolers on a daily basis during summer, holidays, teacher workdays, and weekends to verify all are in working order and maintaining an accurate temperature as per HRS and state guidelines

Complies with all Health Department rules and regulations in maintaining a clean warehouse and correcting all rodent problems.

Maintains the warehouse in a safe and healthy environment.

Performs emergency deliveries to all schools and other county agencies, for example: Property Appraiser, Tri-County Senior Services and other county offices.

As per computerized system, pulls and delivers inventory stock that is ordered by all schools and departments including county offices.

Takes a county wide inventory of all supplies and food stuffs every quarter as per the state and HRS regulations.

Licensed to operate a forklift and lift truck.

Assumes the responsibility to report for evacuation shelter support in the event of an emergency and any other duties assigned during an emergency evacuation.

Performs other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor, the Superintendent, or the board.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Heavy Work:

Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force as needed to move objects. Ability to actively perform work in classroom, office, and other business and community settings. Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (typically involving frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting). Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting. Exposure to weather conditions. Ability to travel outside the district for a variety of meetings and conferences.

Salary and Benefits as determined and approved annually by Hendry County School Board.

EVALUATION

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with School Board Policies for evaluation of administrative personnel.
