You will work with bulk commodities such as food-grade, water conditioning, and pool salts packaged in 50 to 80 pound bags stacked on heavy pallets. The position is highly physical and requires strong attention to detail, consistent adherence to safety practices, and reliable teamwork.
- Responsibilities
- + Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments of raw salt and chemicals using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
+ Handle heavy bags weighing 50 to 80 pounds and move pallets of product throughout the warehouse while following proper lifting and material handling procedures.
+ Accurately pick bulk items from inventory to fulfill wholesale and commercial customer orders, ensuring correct quantities, products, and lot codes.
+ Stage completed orders in designated areas for outbound distribution trucks, maintaining clear labeling and organization.
+ Verify documentation for incoming receipts by comparing packing lists and shipping documents with physical deliveries.
+ Visually inspect bags, lot codes, and pallets for damage, contamination, or discrepancies, and report issues promptly.
+ Participate in regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to help maintain accurate inventory records.
+ Maintain a safe, secure, and clean warehouse by following a strict "clean as you go" policy and promptly addressing spills, debris, or obstructions.
+ Operate warehouse equipment, including sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks, in accordance with safety guidelines and company procedures.
+ Use computers or RF scanners to record receipts, update inventory tracking systems, and document daily tasks and assignments.
+ Follow all safety policies and procedures related to handling bulk materials, warehouse equipment, and chemical products.
+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity goals and support an efficient flow of goods through the facility.
- Essential Skills
- + Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment handling loading and unloading tasks.
+ Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
+ Proficiency using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other basic material handling equipment.
+ Capability to lift, carry, and move heavy bags weighing 50 to 80 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
+ Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking, documentation verification, and lot code inspection.
+ Basic computer literacy and ability to use RF scanners or similar devices for data entry and inventory tracking.
+ Commitment to safety and adherence to warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
+ Reliable attendance and ability to work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Bilingual communication skills are a plus; English-only proficiency is acceptable.
+ Previous experience as a warehouse worker, loader, or in a similar material handling role is beneficial.
+ Experience performing inventory counts, quality checks, or basic warehouse cleaning and maintenance tasks.
+ Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain organization in a high-volume, physical environment.

- Work Environment
- You will work in a clean, AC-ventilated warehouse environment designed to support both comfort and safety.
The facility focuses on distributing heavy wholesale commodities, including food-grade, water conditioning, and pool salts packaged in 50 to 80 pound bags stacked on heavy pallets. The role is highly physical and involves frequent lifting, moving, and operating sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a 1-hour lunch break, offering a predictable daytime work routine in a structured and well-maintained setting.

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $18.
00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
