Job Description
Job Summary A temporary Warehouse Support Worker is needed for an election-cycle logistics assignment in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This hands-on warehouse support role is ideal for dependable, detail-oriented candidates who enjoy organized, process-driven work in a high-volume operational environment. In this role, you will support the preparation, packing, staging, verification, movement, recovery, and reconciliation of election-related supplies and materials. This is a mission-focused opportunity to contribute to an important public-sector operation while working with a structured logistics team, clear procedures, and supportive supervision. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble, count, pack, label, and stage precinct supplies and election-related materials.
- Verify precinct numbers, labels, quantities, item descriptions, containers, and related documentation for accuracy.
- Sort, receive, organize, store, move, and reconcile supplies, materials, containers, carts, and equipment.
- Compare materials against packing lists, inventory records, checklists, labels, and other approved documentation.
- Identify and report missing, damaged, incorrect, incomplete, excess, misplaced, or inconsistent items.
- Maintain clean, safe, organized warehouse, packing, staging, loading, and storage areas. Compensation and Benefits
Pay:
$25.00 per hour.- Assignment dates: September 28, 2026 through November 13, 2026.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.Location:
Fort Lauderdale, FL.- Assignment type: Contract/Temporary.
- Candidates must be available for the full assignment without planned interruptions.
- Extended hours, extended workdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required based on election-cycle operational needs. Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful completion of required background screenings. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Prepare, pack, label, verify, and stage warehouse materials for election-cycle logistics operations.
- Support inventory counts, reconciliation, material movement, loading, unloading, distribution, recovery, and storage.
- Follow established warehouse, inventory-control, safety, security, accountability, and election-material procedures.
- Complete repetitive, high-volume work accurately and efficiently within required deadlines.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant warehouse, logistics, inventory, shipping and receiving, packing, order fulfillment, or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, dependability, and punctuality.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven warehouse environment.
- Ability to identify and promptly report discrepancies, damaged items, missing materials, or inconsistencies.
- Ability to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other authorized equipment when properly instructed or trained.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform bending, reaching, stooping, crouching, repetitive handling, sorting, counting, packing, labeling, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving of supplies and equipment.
- Must successfully complete and clear required criminal background screening and drug screening before starting. Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse support, logistics, inventory, packing, shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, material handling, supply preparation, or distribution.
- Experience working in high-volume, deadline-driven warehouse or operational environments.
- Familiarity with packing lists, inventory records, checklists, labels, supply lists, and material reconciliation processes.
- Prior experience supporting public-sector, event-based, or time-sensitive logistics operations.
