JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dependable General Laborer / HVAC Assistant to assist with HVAC, mechanical, warehouse, equipment, and material-handling operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on HVAC or mechanical experience , be comfortable using hand tools and power tools , and be able to assist experienced technicians with installation, maintenance, repairs, assembly, and general labor duties. This is a physically active position requiring dependability, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist HVAC technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair work. Assist with HVAC equipment, components, ductwork, piping, insulation, and related materials. Load and unload HVAC equipment, materials, and shipments. Move, organize, stage, and store materials throughout the warehouse or work area. Use hand tools and power tools safely and properly. Assist with drilling, cutting, fastening, measuring, assembly, and other mechanical tasks. Help technicians prepare tools, equipment, and materials for daily jobs. Assist with the installation, removal, movement, and positioning of equipment. Assist with receiving and storing incoming products and materials. Pull, prepare, package, label, and secure materials for orders and projects. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Properly operate tools and equipment after receiving appropriate training. Assist with general warehouse, mechanical, HVAC, and material-handling duties. Follow instructions from HVAC technicians, supervisors, and management. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous HVAC and/or mechanical experience is strongly preferred. Experience in construction, maintenance, warehouse, or general labor is a plus. Must have experience using hand tools and power tools. Basic understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, or mechanical components. Ability to safely operate common power tools and hand tools. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious. Willingness to learn and take direction. Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. Must speak and understand English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, climb, and work in various positions. Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment. Ability to perform physical labor throughout the workday. Comfortable working in warehouse, mechanical, industrial, and HVAC environments. Ability to work in areas that may be hot, cold, dusty, or noisy. Ability to safely handle tools, equipment, HVAC components, and materials.
