About This Opportunity We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Warehouse & Delivery Associate to join our Port St. Lucie team. This is a hands-on position focused primarily on warehouse operations and deliveries. Your responsibilities will include preparing customer orders, receiving and organizing inventory, loading and unloading materials, maintaining the warehouse, and making deliveries and pickups throughout the assigned territory. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing things correctly, works well independently and as part of a team, takes care of company equipment and materials, and represents ABC Lumber professionally when interacting with customers and suppliers. What You'll DoWarehouse Operations Prepare and verify customer orders accurately. Load and unload plywood, panels, hardware, and other materials. Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition. Organize inventory in designated warehouse locations. Assist with inventory counts and inventory accuracy. Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks after proper training. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse. Protect materials from damage during handling and storage. Assist customers with loading materials when needed. Assist with other warehouse and branch duties as needed. Deliveries & Pickups Safely operate company delivery vehicles. Deliver customer orders throughout the assigned territory. Pick up materials from suppliers and other ABC Lumber locations. Verify materials and quantities before leaving the warehouse or supplier. Properly secure and protect loads during transportation. Load and unload materials at customer locations. Obtain required delivery documentation and customer signatures. Communicate delays, damages, shortages, or other issues immediately. Use GPS to plan and follow efficient delivery routes. Keep company vehicles clean and organized. Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns immediately. Customer Service Represent ABC Lumber professionally during deliveries and pickups. Treat customers, suppliers, and coworkers with respect. Communicate clearly and professionally. Provide friendly and reliable customer service. Listen carefully to customer requests. Communicate customer questions, requests, or concerns to the appropriate team member. Valid Florida Driver License. Driving record acceptable under company insurance requirements. Authorized to work in the United States. Ability to safely operate company vehicles. Ability to safely lift, carry, move, load, and unload building materials. Ability to work in an active warehouse environment. Ability to work outdoors during deliveries and pickups. Basic computer and smartphone skills. Strong communication skills. Excellent attendance and punctuality. Willingness to learn forklift operation if not already experienced. Preferred Experience Previous experience in any of the following is a plus, but not all are required: Warehouse operations. Delivery driving. Box truck driving. Forklift operation. Shipping & receiving. Loading and unloading. Order picking. Inventory. Distribution. Logistics. Customer service. Building materials. Lumber or plywood. Cabinets or closets. Furniture manufacturing. Candidates must be able to:
Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift, move, load, and organize materials. Perform repetitive loading and unloading activities. Enter and exit delivery vehicles multiple times during the day. Safely operate warehouse equipment after proper training. Work both indoors and outdoors.
