Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines Develop and modify CNC programs utilizing CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming software to optimize machining processes. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure precise manufacturing. Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions. Maintain machine tools by performing routine inspections, adjustments, and basic repairs using hand tools and power tools. Conduct quality checks with precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet strict tolerances and specifications. Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and uphold safety standards across all machining activities. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery Strong knowledge of CNC programming techniques Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately Mechanical aptitude with experience in machining processes, tooling setup, and maintenance of precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines. Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations related to machining tasks. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Knowledge of wood material is advantageous but not required. Ability to work safely with hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
