Purpose:
Warehouse assistant needed for coordinating and expediting flow of material, parts, assemblies and finished product in accordance with production, shipping schedules and supervisors' priorities. Job Description Receive products and supports work processes by receiving, inspecting, preparing, sorting, identifying, weighing, allocating, and loading materials; placing orders in receiving area. Route and assign material to storage locations. Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and any damages. Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area. Returns items to inventory by loading, moving, and unloading items. Monitor and control movement of materials, parts and finished products. Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests. Maintain electronic files, records, and packing lists. Maintains quality inspection by following organization standards. Maintains safe and clean work environment by removing scrap; sweeping and mopping area; erecting barriers; disposing of hazardous materials; following safety rules, procedures and regulations; wearing personal protective equipment when necessary, keeping shelves, and work area clean. Operate forklift and any other equipment as needed. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Qualifications Possess good communication and organizational skills. High attention to detail Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, environment Ability to multi-task and display good time management Ability to operate computer, knowledge in Microsoft Office Must be able to sit, stand, crouch, kneel, and reach for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs Preferred Qualifications Experience in the Aviation/Defense a plus Knowledge of computerized inventory system a plus (Pentagon, Quantum) Experience operating forklift Our company conducts a thorough reference/background check and drug screening on prospective employees.
