Job Description

Women's Clothing Boutique Warehouse & Fulfillment Associate — Tarpon Springs, FL (on-site) Macoma Boutique is a women's clothing and footwear boutique in Tarpon Springs. We've been shipping orders to customers across the country for about ten years, and we now have a storefront here at home too. Every one of those orders passes through our warehouse — so this job is where the customer experience actually gets made. We're looking for someone reliable and detail-oriented to receive our incoming shipments, get new arrivals into inventory, and pick, pack and ship our online orders. If you like a checklist, take pride in a clean stockroom, and get satisfaction out of clearing the day's orders, you'll fit right in. Receiving new arrivals Unload and open incoming vendor shipments, including regular shoe deliveries that arrive by the case Check every carton against the packing slip and invoice — style, color, size run, quantity — and flag shortages, overages and damages before anything hits the shelf Inspect product for defects and mismatched pairs so nothing flawed gets shipped to a customer Tag, label and barcode new inventory and get it into the system so it's ready to sell Put stock away where it belongs: by style, color and size, so anyone can find it fast Break down and haul out cardboard, and keep the receiving area clear for the next truck Picking, packing and shipping orders Pull the day's online orders from the pick list — right style, right color, right size, every time Verify each item against the order before it goes in the box; a wrong size sent out costs us the customer and the return shipping Pack orders so they arrive looking like a boutique purchase, not a mailer full of loose product Print and apply shipping labels, then stage packages for daily carrier pickup Keep orders moving so same-day and next-day ship promises are actually met, including on heavier days after a launch, a sale or a Facebook Live Communicate quickly when an item can't be found or comes up short, so customer service can reach the customer before they have to ask Keep packing supplies stocked and let the team know before we run out of boxes, mailers or labels Inventory and storefront support Pull and prep transfers for our Tarpon Springs store, and restock the sales floor as product sells through Run cycle counts and help with full inventory counts; research and correct count discrepancies Keep backstock organized and labeled, and pull slow movers or sold-out product when we clean up the catalog Pull product for photoshoots and content days, then check it back in undamaged and ready to sell Help prep product for in-store events and Facebook Live sessions Keep the warehouse clean, safe and organized — swept floors, clear aisles, nothing stacked where it shouldn't be What we're looking for Accuracy above all — you double-check a size before it goes in the box Dependable attendance; a small team feels it immediately when someone doesn't show Comfortable on your feet all day and working at a steady pace when order volume spikes Organized by instinct: you put things back where they go without being asked Basic computer skills — you can work in a web-based system, type accurately and read a pick list on a screen Able to follow a process exactly, and to speak up when something looks wrong instead of shipping it anyway A good teammate: honest, low-drama, willing to jump in where the day needs you Nice to have, not required Warehouse, fulfillment, retail stockroom or shipping experience Familiarity with Shopify or a similar order and inventory system Experience with apparel or footwear, including sizing and how product should be handled Forklift, pallet jack or delivery-receiving experience Physical requirements Standing, walking, bending, reaching and climbing a step ladder for most of the shift Lifting and carrying boxes up to 50 lbs, with help available for anything heavier Repetitive motion: scanning, folding, taping, labeling Work happens in a warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled year round in Florida heat Location and perks On-site in Tarpon Springs, FL — this role cannot be done remotely Generous employee discount on clothing and shoes How to apply Send a short note about yourself and any relevant experience through Indeed. Macoma Boutique is an equal opportunity employer. We hire on reliability, attitude and attention to detail.
