Jackson County Habitat for Humanity is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Driver and ReStore/Warehouse Staff member. This role is essential for supporting the daily operations of our ReStore and warehouse, which helps fund our mission of providing affordable housing to families in need. The Driver and Warehouse Staff member will be responsible for but not limited to transporting donated goods, assisting in inventory management, and providing excellent customer service in the ReStore.
Key Responsibilities :
Safely operate the Habitat for Humanity truck to pick up donated items from homes, businesses, and organizations. Ensure that all donations are properly loaded, secured, and transported to the ReStore or warehouse. Provide courteous, professional service to donors during pick-up, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed. Warehouse and Inventory Management Assist with the unloading, sorting, and organizing of donated items in the warehouse or ReStore. Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment. Process donations by cleaning, pricing, and displaying items for sale in the ReStore. Help track and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate records of items received and sold. Ability to lift 50lbs Provide support to customers and volunteers in the ReStore, including answering questions and assisting with purchases or product inquiries. Assist in maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers, volunteers, and donors. Assist in stocking shelves and displaying items for sale in the ReStore. Help with the store's daily operations, including maintaining clean and organized aisles and checking out customers and answering the phone. Operating our POS system Preforming opening and closing duties Ensure that all work areas, including the truck and warehouse, meet safety standards and are well-maintained. Perform regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to the ReStore/Warehouse Manager.
Qualifications :
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in warehouse operations, retail, or logistics is a plus.
Driver's License:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
Customer Service:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with customers, donors, and team members in a professional and friendly manner. Attention to

Ability to organize inventory and merchandising product displays efficiently.
Team Player:
Ability to work effectively with volunteers, other staff members, and community partners.
Safety Awareness:
Ability to follow safety procedures and practices in both warehouse and driving environments. Ability to pass a medical exam to obtain a medical card for driving the truck.
Work Conditions:
Schedule:
Full-time, [32- 40 hours a week]. Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings if needed.
Location:
Primarily based at the Jackson County Habitat for Humanity ReStore and warehouse, with some travel required for donations pick-up.
Physical Demands:
Frequent lifting, bending, standing for extended periods of time, and working in warm weather and cold weather.
Compensation:
