Full-time Job Summary The Shipping Floater supports the overall efficiency, accuracy, and organization of the Shipping department. This role provides flexible support across daily shipping and warehouse operations, helping the team respond to changing business needs while maintaining smooth workflow and operational consistency. Environment This is an on-site warehouse position in the Shipping department. The role involves working in a busy operational environment where priorities may shift based on order volume, inventory movement, and shipping deadlines. Work is performed primarily inside a warehouse with an open climate-controlled layout that may experience temperature fluctuations due to weather and loading dock activity. Some work may also be performed outside in the elements as needed. This role requires prolonged standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, and use of rolling ladders as needed. This role is best suited for individuals who: Enjoy active, hands-on warehouse work Stay productive while working on their feet for long periods Work carefully and accurately in a fast-moving shipping environment Communicate clearly with team members and leads Take ownership of assigned tasks and help maintain an organized workspace Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Picking, Sorting, Packing, Processing Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently Sort orders as they arrive and complete orders to move them to packing areas Pack orders safely to minimize carrier damages Process orders according to shipping standards and customers requests Support daily shipping flow by moving between tasks as needed Maintain focus on individual and overall performance metrics Inventory Movement & Cycle Counts Downsize inventory as needed to improve storage efficiency Move inventory safely and accurately within the warehouse Perform cycle counts and make inventory adjustments to support inventory accuracy Report inventory issues or discrepancies to the shipping lead Warehouse Support Assist with daily warehouse cleaning and organizing tasks Keep work areas safe, clean, and ready for use Support other shipping and warehouse tasks as assigned Follow established safety practices when lifting, moving inventory, and using warehouse equipment Skills & QualificationsEducation & Experience High school diploma or equivalent Previous warehouse, shipping, inventory, or fulfillment experience is a plus Warehouse & Physical Skills Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and carry throughout the workday Ability to climb and work from rolling ladders as needed Forklift certification is a plus Computer & System Skills Basic proficiency with Windows 10, Google Chrome, and email Comfort using computers, warehouse systems, scanners, and basic numbers Ability to learn and follow system-based shipping and inventory processes Work Habits & Communication Strong attention to detail Energetic and productive work style Good communication skills and ability to work well with others Ability to follow instructions and ask questions when clarification is needed Willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks based on department needs Ability to work extended hours as needed Additional Requirements Ability to pass Trainz's drug-free workplace screening Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the
