Clearance/Vetting:
Must be eligible for DoD Common Access Card (CAC) background vetting Position Summary We are seeking qualified and reliable Warehouse Support Specialists to provide comprehensive material handling, inventory management, and logistics support at Fort Stewart, GA . In this role, you will be responsible for daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and moving equipment and supplies in support of U.S. Army installation requirements. This position requires operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE), adhering to strict safety standards, maintaining accurate inventory records, and securing CAC credentialing prior to contract performance.
Key Responsibilities Material Handling & Warehouse Operations:
Receive, unload, inspect, verify, store, and issue supplies, materials, and equipment. Safely operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including sit-down/stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Load and unload commercial delivery vehicles and military transport containers.
Inventory & Asset Management:
Conduct physical counts, cycle counts, and wall-to-wall inventory audits. Prepare items for shipment, including packing, labeling, palletizing, and shrink-wrapping. Process shipping and receiving documents, bills of lading (BOLs), and property transfer receipts. Utilize automated inventory/logistics management databases (e.g., GCSS-Army or standard WMS) to record asset movements.
Safety & Facility Maintenance:
Maintain clean, organized, and secure staging areas, warehouse aisles, and storage yards. Strictly adhere to OSHA, DoD, and Army safety rules and hazardous material handling guidelines. Perform daily pre-operational inspections on assigned MHE and report maintenance issues promptly.
Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on warehouse and logistics experience.
MHE Certification:
Proven experience and prior certification operating forklifts (up to 10,000 lbs capacity) and standard warehouse lifting equipment.
Security & Background Vetting:
Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for base access and credentialing). Must be able to pass a Favorable FBI Fingerprint / National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) .
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver items weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and work on concrete surfaces for extended periods (8+ hours/day). Ability to work in indoor warehouse conditions and outdoor material storage yards across varied weather conditions. Preferred Qualifications Prior military or defense contractor warehouse/logistics experience (U.S. Army Quartermaster/Logistics background preferred). Active CAC or recently favorably adjudicated background investigation (NACI/T1). Experience with government logistics management tools (e.g., GCSS-Army, DPAS). Valid State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Schedule & Work Environment Hours:
Standard Full-Time (40 hours/week, typical day shift Monday-Friday).
