5 Months Job Summary We are seeking a Distribution Support Specialist I to provide administrative and operational support for distribution-related activities. This role will assist with inventory management, order processing, shipment coordination, billing, customer service, documentation, vendor communication, and data reporting. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working with spreadsheets, billing systems, inventory records, and multiple priorities. Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage inventory levels to support distribution operations. Receive and process customer orders accurately. Coordinate shipment preparation, scheduling, labeling, and documentation. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve order or delivery issues. Use spreadsheets and billing software to report customer charges for: In-lab services Repairs Vendor service fees Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, shipments, billing, and customer interactions. Collect and analyze distribution data, including fulfillment rates, delivery times, and inventory activity. Prepare reports and support process-improvement initiatives. Perform quality checks on products or materials before shipment. Communicate with suppliers and vendors regarding order status, delivery issues, and service needs. Support onboarding and training of team members on procedures and systems. Follow all applicable safety procedures and documentation requirements. Assist with distribution-related emergencies, delays, recalls, or other operational issues. Support cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and customer service. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Basic analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Customer-service focused with a professional approach. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office , including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to learn order-processing, billing, inventory, and distribution systems. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in distribution, logistics, inventory, administrative support, billing, or customer service . Coursework or experience in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration. Experience with inventory-management or order-processing software. Experience working with vendors, suppliers, and internal operational teams.
