Warehouse Associate, The Bloom Closet
REPORTS TO
Warehouse Coordinator, The Bloom Closet
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse operations or a related field Familiarity with warehouse management systems preferred Familiarity with OSHA safety guidelines preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid Georgia Driver's License, a clean driving record, and willingness to operate Bloom vehicles Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, remain on feet for extended periods, and work in a non-climate controlled environment
POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate supports the day-to-day operations of The Bloom Closet Warehouse, carrying out the hands-on work of receiving, sorting, and preparing donated inventory for distribution across Bloom's sites. This role ensures that donations are handled efficiently and with care, keeping The Closet and The Hive consistently stocked to serve foster children and families. This position requires a dependable, hardworking individual who thrives in a physical, fast-paced environment and takes pride in doing quality work. The Warehouse Associate works under the direction of the Warehouse Coordinator, helping execute daily operational plans and working alongside volunteers to support inventory changeover, transportation, and organization within the warehouse. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and works well as part of a team — someone who collaborates naturally with volunteers and takes ownership of their tasks while contributing to a positive and efficient warehouse environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse Operations Assists with daily operations of The Bloom Closet Warehouse, helping maintain a safe, organized, and efficient working environment Receives, sorts, and performs quality control on donated inventory in accordance with Bloom's donation standards Prepares and stages merchandise for changeover and distribution to site locations Assists with loading, unloading, and transportation of inventory between sites as needed Follows OSHA safety guidelines and helps maintain a culture of safety across all warehouse activities Reports facility or equipment issues to the Warehouse Coordinator Volunteer Collaboration Works alongside volunteers to complete daily sorting, organizing, and warehouse tasks Helps orient volunteers to warehouse procedures and donation quality control standards Supports a positive, team-oriented environment that reflects Bloom's mission Inventory & Logistics Support Assists in tracking inventory levels and communicates shortages to the Warehouse Coordinator Supports the use of inventory management systems to log and organize donated goods Helps execute transportation runs between The Warehouse, The Closet, and The Hive Donation Center as directed Assists with maintaining accurate records of inventory processed and warehouse activity
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
This position is a full-time, hourly position (40 hours per week), Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, with some weekend hours required as needed.
