Job Description Packaging Engineers are critical to the success of our business as they assist in determining the most effective and efficient site layouts and packaging line layouts considering the equipment and supply types available.

Our Engineers leverage their unique skills and abilities to recommend how we measure improvements, create cost savings and implement competitive pricing strategies.

The Packaging Engineer will assist in supporting existing and potential customers and account teams or specialize at a single site location, ensuring the delivery of consistent operational processes are achieved. Regularly conducting engineered studies to capture time, motion, methods and speed to establish and assess existing productivity targets. Responsibilities Provide engineering support to the operational leadership teams in the areas ofequipment, supplies and performance metrics. Leverages engineered time studies to recommend pricing strategies and measuring improvements Analyzes and provides recommendations for delivering consistent operational performance as it relates to our packaging areas. Conducts regular engineered studies to assess current state and provides recommendations for optimization as it relates to site and packaging line layouts, equipment types and supplies Leverages tools and resources to continually improve the productivity and pricing strategies within assigned area of responsibility. Develop and maintain departmental, site and account knowledge in a readily accessible database for use by sector. Provide recommendations on the selection of materials and equipment vendors Consult on appropriate levels of automation for individual projects Establishes and maintains knowledge of all existing packaging operations for use in proposal generation, pricing and providing improvements across the organization. Validate pricing of new and existing business. Recommend design and automation for improving productivity.(Actual spend is determined by site) Choose appropriate metrics for each project. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or Engineering related field, required 0-3 years of experience in manufacturing, custom packaging or related business Knowledge of packaging equipment and materials , preferred Time study and analysis skills Budgeting and financial analysis Our Organization has a business casual environment and focuses on teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement.
