Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Cherry Picker Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating cherry pickers and other material handling equipment to pick, pack, and organize inventory within a fast-paced distribution environment. Your expertise will ensure accurate order fulfillment, safe operations, and smooth warehouse flow. Duties Operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely according to OSHA and company safety standards. Pick orders accurately using barcode scanning systems and warehouse management systems to ensure correct items are selected. Load and unload shipments efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials with manual handling techniques and pallet jacks. Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts, cycle counts, and updating warehouse management systems. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by preparing orders for dispatch and verifying incoming deliveries. Perform basic equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to minimize downtime. Follow warehouse safety protocols during all operations, including heavy lifting and materials handling. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing storage areas and optimizing space utilization. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve operational workflows and ensure compliance with safety standards. Use clamp trucks, lift trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and other equipment proficiently for various logistical tasks. Experience Proven experience operating cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, or similar material handling equipment in a warehouse environment. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and shipping & receiving procedures. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards related to heavy equipment operation. Prior experience in inventory management, order picking, load & unload activities, and warehouse distribution. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely. Basic math skills for inventory counts and order calculations. Experience with equipment repair or troubleshooting is a plus. Strong understanding of warehouse operations including materials handling, safety protocols, and logistics coordination. Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management system processes is advantageous.
