Overview:
Georgia Shop Supplies is a managed inventory service for auto mechanic shops and dealerships. We check, order, deliver, and put away stock of automotive clips, chemicals, hardware, and shop supplies directly for our customers. We are not looking for someone to just "move boxes and get the job done." We are looking for a highly capable, systems-minded individual to be heavily involved in both the physical workflow and the digital brain of our operations. Your day-to-day will heavily involve traditional warehouse work—picking, packing UPS shipments, receiving stock, and loading delivery vehicles. However, the next largest part of your role involves understanding our inventory ecosystem (Fishbowl Advanced, Shopify). You will learn how Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, picking, shipping, and accounting are all interconnected. Because we run on custom automations, you'll also be interacting with some automations, scripts, and AI tools. We don't require years of experience in all of these areas—a smart, hard-working fast learner is just as welcome here as an experienced pro. If you have a great attitude, understand how to work efficiently with computers, and think critically about the "downstream effects" of your actions, we are more than willing to train you.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Floor (Daily): Execute accurate picking, receiving, packing of UPS shipments, and loading of our delivery vehicles.
System Management:
Manage inventory movements within our database, execute careful data entry, and sometimes manipulate spreadsheets in Excel.
Process Improvement:
Think critically about warehouse layout, picking strategies, and inventory flow to suggest and implement improvements.
Systems & Tech:
Understand where data comes from within our inventory software and custom scripts. Modify or update existing scripts as you learn the system (a background in some programming or the ability to vibe-code is a massive plus).
Cross-Training:
Train on our delivery routes to act as a backup driver when our primary driver is out.
Qualifications:
Tech-Savvy & Adaptable:
Proficient with computers. Familiarity with AI tools, automations, or light programming or scripting is a major advantage.
Critical Thinker:
You don't just do tasks blindly; you understand how an inventory error on the floor impacts the whole operation including the accounting side of the business later on.
Fast Learner:
You don't need a massive resume, but you must be able to absorb complex software (WMS, ERP, e-commerce platforms) and operational logic quickly.
Physical Ability:
Comfortable with the physical demands of warehouse work, including safely lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Minimum age of 18 with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record (for backup driving duties). Proactive, go-the-extra-mile attitude with exceptional attention to detail. Must remain free of alcohol or any impairing/illicit substances while on duty.
Benefits:
Competitive hourly pay. Part‑time position with a defined path to a full‑time salaried role (which includes PTO, health insurance, and other benefits). Deep career development and hands-on training in business operations, inventory logic, and systems automation. A positive, integrity‑driven work environment where taking ownership is rewarded.

RESPONSE REQUIRED
We value extreme ownership, taking responsibility, and critical thinking on a system-wide level. Imagine you are picking items for two different orders. Each order requires 2 cans of glass cleaner (4 cans total). However, when you get to the shelf, there are only 3 cans left. You check your scanner, and the inventory system says we should still have 15 in stock. Walk us through your exact next steps regarding the following 3 areas: 1. What you do physically on the warehouse floor. 2. What you look for or do in the computer system. 3. How you handle the situation operationally (who you communicate with and how). (Thoughtful answers only. Low-effort submissions will be automatically rejected.)
RESPONSE REQUIRED
Tell us about a time you caught an issue (whether it was a process flaw or a mistake) that was technically outside your immediate responsibilities. How did you step up to fix the immediate problem and prevent 'downstream' headaches for the rest of the team or company? (Thoughtful answers only. Low-effort submissions will be automatically rejected.)
RESPONSE REQUIRED
This job requires a mix of physical warehouse labor (packing boxes, loading vans) and technical, focused computer work (i.e. working within inventory databases). How do you feel about balancing physical work with complex technical work in the same shift? Additionally, describe your comfort level with computers, and learning new software. If you have any experience with automations, coding/programming, manipulating Excel spreadsheets, please elaborate here. (Thoughtful answers only. Low-effort submissions will be automatically rejected.) Are you looking for a part-time or full-time position?
