8:30 AM-5:00 PM Premier Staffing is hiring a Material Handler for a busy company in the Cedar Rapids area! This position supports warehouse and production operations by keeping materials organized, supplying work areas, and preparing orders for shipment. If you enjoy hands-on work, staying active, and working with a team, this could be a great opportunity to put your skills to work. What You'll Do Keep production areas supplied with the materials needed throughout the day. Use forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, load, unload, and store inventory. Gather parts and supplies for production orders. Pick, package, and prepare outgoing orders. Use scanners and computer systems to record inventory movements and update order information. Check incoming materials and place them in the appropriate locations. Help count inventory and investigate discrepancies. Use basic hand and power tools to prepare packaging. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. Previous forklift and warehouse experience required. Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately. Strong attention to detail when checking quantities, recording information, and preparing orders. Dependable attendance and the ability to manage daily priorities. Physical Requirements Stand and move throughout much of the shift. Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Perform repetitive tasks and use hands to handle parts, tools, and packaging.
