Hours:
7:00am-3:00pm; 3:00pm-11:00pm QPS Employment Group has a great Stockhandler/Material Handler position available at a company in Mount Pleasant, IA. This is a 1st and 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire. Stockhandler/Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Verify and prepare materials according to work orders and production needs.
- Retrieve, organize, and stage materials to support stockroom and mailroom operations.
- Sort, organize, and stage finished products for distribution or delivery.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (preferred).
- Inspect materials and identify damaged goods, safety concerns, or equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stock handling environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist in troubleshooting inventory discrepancies and production flow challenges.
- Follow all safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in training initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Stockhandler/Material Handler Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stock handling, manufacturing, or production environment preferred.
- Familiarity with Printstream software is a plus.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, electric jacks, or forklifts is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment.
- Strong attention to detail in handling and organizing inventory.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and strong punctuality.
- Ability to collaborate with team members to maintain operational efficiency.
- Basic problem-solving skills for addressing inventory or workflow challenges.
- Ability to lift and move 15-25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods (10-12 hour shifts).
- Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, and perform repetitive motions.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Experience in inventory, warehousing, or stock handling roles.
- Understanding of material handling processes and inventory control practices.
- Ability to follow established procedures while maintaining accuracy in stock management.
- Commitment to maintaining safety, organization, and continuous improvement standards.
