We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our furniture warehouse team in Bellwood, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily warehouse operations, including receiving shipments, organizing inventory, preparing customer orders, and maintaining an efficient warehouse environment. This position requires someone who is comfortable with physical work, lifting furniture cartons, organizing inventory, and working as part of a team to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

Receive incoming furniture shipments and verify inventory Unload, organize, and store furniture carton boxes in designated warehouse aisles Stock and maintain inventory locations for easy access Pull furniture items from inventory once orders are sold Prepare furniture orders for customer pickup and delivery Palletize and secure furniture shipments for transportation Package smaller items and orders for UPS shipping Assist with loading and unloading trucks Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment Perform general warehouse duties as needed Follow safety procedures and proper handling techniques for furniture products

Requirements:

Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or furniture handling experience preferred Ability to lift and move heavy furniture boxes (50+ lbs) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment Basic understanding of shipping and packaging procedures is a plus

Preferred Experience:

Furniture warehouse experience Shipping & receiving experience UPS/FedEx packaging experience Pallet packing and inventory organization experience Forklift experience is a plus (not required)
