Job Description
- Warehouse Associate
- $20••Job Description•The Warehouse Associate supports efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory control operations in a production warehouse environment.
This role assembles and prepares outbound orders, verifies and inspects incoming shipments, and ensures products are accurately stored and tracked. The Warehouse Associate operates material-handling equipment and participates in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Responsibilities
- + Assemble and build boxes, pallets, and crates to prepare outgoing orders according to shipping requirements.
+ Weigh and label outgoing orders accurately and generate the necessary shipping documentation.
+ Load trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring orders are secured and handled properly.
+ Unload delivery trucks and verify incoming shipments for correct quantities and product specifications.
+ Inspect incoming products for quality and report any discrepancies or issues.
+ Sort and stock items in the correct warehouse locations to maintain organized inventory.
+ Assist with scheduled inventory counts twice per year and help ensure accurate inventory records.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot shipping issues, including order discrepancies, packaging problems, and documentation errors.
+ Operate sit-down forklifts, hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, and related material-handling equipment in a safe manner.
+ Use tools such as a wood chop saw, nail gun, and staple gun to build and secure shipping containers and materials.
+ Contribute as a member of the safety team by keeping the shop organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
+ Support mechanical assembly tasks as needed to prepare products for shipment.
+ Assist with machine operation tasks related to production and warehouse workflows.
+ Perform basic building and shop maintenance duties to support smooth warehouse operations.
- Essential Skills
- + At least 3 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
+ At least 3 years of experience working in a production warehouse role.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for basic documentation and communication.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for inventory, shipping, and receiving activities.
+ Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes, including picking and packing.
+ Ability to accurately verify quantities and inspect products for quality.
+ Capability to safely operate sit-down forklifts, hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, and related equipment.
+ Strong attention to detail in labeling, documentation, and inventory control.
+ Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Job Type & Location
- This is a Contract position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $22.
00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
