Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Glendale Heights, IL. This role is ideal for an experienced warehouse professional with forklift experience who is also comfortable performing hands-on picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties. The successful Warehouse Associate will be safety-minded, reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute both on and off the forklift. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift or PIT to move, load, unload, receive, and put away materials.
- Pick, pack, verify, and prepare customer orders for accurate shipment.
- Organize inventory in designated warehouse locations and maintain accurate product movement.
- Use RF scanners, pick tickets, and basic computer systems to support warehouse operations.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage, discrepancies, part numbers, and quantity accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures. Compensation and Benefits
Pay:
$20.00 to $20.50 per hour.Employment Type:

Shift:
7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.- 2nd
Shift:
3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Required Qualifications and Skills- Operate a forklift or PIT safely in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Perform picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory movement duties.
- Verify orders, part numbers, quantities, and shipment accuracy.
- Support general warehouse operations and special projects as needed.
- Previous forklift experience is required.
- Recent forklift experience is strongly preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of warehouse, distribution, assembly, or operations experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Basic computer skills and RF scanner experience are required.
- Ability to lift and move materials safely throughout the shift.
- Must be comfortable spending a significant portion of the day off the PIT performing picking and packing duties.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety are required.
- Must have required protective safety shoes prior to starting.
- Safety shoes must meet
ASTM F-2413-11
requirements and include puncture-resistant soles or insoles.- Must successfully pass a 7-year criminal background check and 5-panel drug screen.
- No medical drug cards can be accommodated due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position. Preferred Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification.
- Recent forklift experience in a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience with RF scanners, pick tickets, shipping documentation, and inventory systems.
- Previous experience supporting both forklift operation and hands-on warehouse duties.
