Workory Talent is recruiting a dependable, hands-on Warehouse Associate for a well-established Industrial Safety products company in the Glenview area. This is more than a standard picking-and-packing position. You will begin with shipping, receiving, inventory and general warehouse responsibilities. Following company-provided training, you will also learn how to inspect and test specialized safety products. Their Glenview area operation includes one of the country's largest independent facilities for testing and recertifying insulating safety products. Employees play a direct role in ensuring that essential protective equipment meets the appropriate quality and safety standards before returning to the field. What You'll Do Receive, count, weigh and process incoming materials Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for shipment Inspect incoming and outgoing products for accuracy Assist with shipping, receiving and inventory control Follow established warehouse, quality and safety procedures Learn how to inspect and test rubber insulating safety products Cross-train across warehouse, production and testing functions Help identify opportunities to improve processes Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area Support other operational responsibilities as needed What We're Looking For Two to five years of warehouse, distribution or production experience preferred Shipping, receiving or inventory-control experience Strong attention to detail and pride in accurate work Dependable attendance and punctuality Positive attitude and willingness to learn Organized work habits and personal initiative Basic math and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively in English Ability to lift up to 75 pounds High school diploma or GED Forklift certification preferred but not required Flexibility to work additional hours, weekends or alternate shifts when requested Why Consider This Opportunity? This is a contract-to-hire position. Our client is hiring with the intention of bringing the right person onto its permanent team after they demonstrate reliable attendance, strong performance and a good overall fit.
