Full Job Description Job Description:
General Laborer-Greenview Plant Summary/Objective The general Laborer will perform a variety of tasks and errands. They will assist in loading and unloading materials, cleaning working areas, operating equipment, and following instructions. The Laborer will report to the Plant Manager. This position is located at our Greenview Plant, in Greenview, Illinois.
Essential Functions Manual Labor:
Performing physically demanding tasks like lifting, carrying, and loading materials. Focus on filling and handling anhydrous ammonia.
Assisting Team Members:
Helping other team members with their work.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and waste.
Operating Equipment:
Operating light and heavy machinery as needed such as fork lifts, trucks and loaders.
Following Instructions:
Taking directions from supervisors and completing assigned tasks efficiently.
Communication:
Communicating with supervisors and team members effectively.
Transportation:
Must have valid driver's license to complete errands. Required Competencies Teamwork/Collaboration Skills Ability to follow Directions Teamwork Supervisory Responsibility Not applicable to this position. Classification/Expected Hours of Employment This position is a part time position that is non-exempt. Days and hours of work will vary depending on weather, there may be some overtime necessary on weekends depending on customer demands. Required Education and Experience
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.
