Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Clerk is responsible for all items arriving, stored, and departing from the facility. This position requires appropriate certification to use lift trucks and other material handling equipment to perform duties, including unloading and loading trucks and trailers, placing items in desiganated storage locations, and staging materials. This position also assist superintendents.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manages and recieves all incoming shipments at warehouse and on jobsites. Unloads and loads equipment from trucks in a safe manner. Maintains inventory, verifys shipment tickets, and reports damaged shipments. Packages equipment in a safe and systematic manner by wrapping, banding, and placing items on pallets. Manages cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse and assigned jobsites on a day to day basis. Follows all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines. Assists superintendents onsite by delivering, storing, installing, and removing equipment. Performs service calls as needed and completes appropriate documentation. Ensures all waste is disposed properly, including separating scrap metal in secure recycling locations. Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment. Performs minor repairs and maintenance. Inspects all vehicles weekly, schedules maintenance and repairs, and cleans company vehicles. Performs all other duties as assigned
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED Previous related experience preferred Must have a valid driver's license in good standing Ability to work independently
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Frequently sit, stand and walk Regularly required to talk or hear Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls Must be able to bend, lift, squat, kneel and perform manual labor for an extended period of time Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs frequently Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can be extreme. Temperature in the workplace will vary
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires travel up to 30% of the time. This position requires some overnight travel and weekends.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
