Warehouse Clerk 1st shift hours: M-F 8am-430pm
Pay:
$21.75 to start, raise after 90 days Job Description This role supports warehouse operations by safely receiving, staging, storing, and shipping customer products while maintaining accurate documentation and inventory records. You will handle a variety of material handling tasks, operate warehouse equipment, and ensure products move through the facility in a timely and damage-free manner. Responsibilities Perform all receiving and shipping functions in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. Receive customer products by accepting or unloading shipping containers, including breaking down pallets and identifying box weights. Process all required receiving and shipping documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Stage incoming customer products by transferring or overseeing the transfer of materials to non-process storage locations in a safe and damage-free manner. Inspect incoming and outgoing products for damage and count discrepancies, and report any issues as outlined in established procedures. Maintain and submit warehouse reports that clearly show where products are staged within the facility. Verify that all reported damages and count discrepancies are properly documented and resolved. Ensure products ship within required deadlines by maintaining communication with customer transportation personnel, vendors, and internal facility staff. Prepare products for shipment by retrieving items from processed areas, staging them in the shipping area, and creating accurate shipping documentation. Load products into shipping trailers or containers and transfer small packages to designated delivery services. Assist with general material handling activities to support timely receipt and shipment of products. Use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools to move, load, and unload products safely. Support inventory activities including picking, packing, order picking, shrink wrapping, and general warehouse labor. Operate RF scanners and other warehouse technology to track and manage inventory and orders. Actively participate in and support Lean initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste in warehouse operations. Actively participate in and support Safety initiatives, following all safety procedures and contributing to a safe work environment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including adherence to designated walkways and safety guidelines. Essential Skills Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in a warehouse environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Strong desire to learn new skills and advance within the organization. Basic computer skills, especially for those interested in progressing into an operator role. High school diploma or GED. Comfort working in a warehouse or material handling setting with tasks such as loading, unloading, picking, packing, and general labor. Ability to operate or learn to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and related tools. Attention to detail for accurate documentation, inventory tracking, and verification of product counts. Willingness to support and follow Lean and Safety initiatives. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous warehouse or material handler experience. Experience operating forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts. Experience with reach trucks and pallet jacks. Experience with RF scanners for inventory and order management. Background in shipping and receiving operations. Experience with order picking, shrink wrapping, and packaging. Comfort working with sterilized products and following detailed customer specifications. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Libertyville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $21.75/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
