Job Description

Responsibilities to include: Assisting in all barge loading activities to include: handling lines, inspecting barge prior to loading, keeping barge cover clean during loading, opening and closing barge cover doors, etc. Performing preventative maintenance and repairs of facility's equipment Maintaining grain quality throughout loading process Performing general cleaning around the facility, including, but not limited to, shoveling, sweeping, and leaf blowing Unloading grain trucks and operating belts. Maintaining quality customer service and professional communication with customers Completing tasks while following all company and industry procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
This is an entry level position. Experience is not required. A background in Agriculture and experience in handling grain is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Ability to lift, pull, and push in excess of 50 lbs. regularly Ability to bend, squat, twist, and kneel constantly Ability to maintain balance while working at substantial heights and on the barge's surface Ability to climb ladders and stairs frequently Ability to stand and walk continuously Effective oral communication skills; both face-to-face and using a two-way radio Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to take oral and written directions Ability to think logically, maintain vigilance, and prioritize safety in a fast-paced environment
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
