Material handler- text 8 4 7 58 0 2 8 1 4 if interested Job Description We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to efficiently manage the operation of a sit-down propane quad forklift. The candidate will be responsible for picking customer orders, stacking them on pallets, and ensuring orders are staged and loaded onto trucks. Regular lifting of boxes up to 50 lbs and changing propane tanks on forklifts are part of the daily tasks. Responsibilities Operate sit-down propane quad forklift safely and efficiently. Pick customer orders from higher locations and stack them on pallets. Regularly lift boxes of steel pipe fittings, up to 50 lbs. Wrap pallets and stage orders for trucks. Load trucks with completed pallets. Change propane tanks on forklifts. Essential Skills 1+ year of experience with sit-down propane quad forklifts. Proficiency with RF Scanner and order picking. Experience moving products into and out of high racks. Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse environment. Work Environment The work environment is a large warehouse filled with pipe fittings, accommodating approximately six employees, including order pickers, forklift operators, a supervisor, and a lead. The warehouse is not climate-controlled, meaning it can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Lenox, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
