Job Description
The North America team is currently looking for a Team Leader on 1 st shift to join our Taylorville, IL facility. The Team Leader oversees the employees working in the T-1 Purchase Parts Warehouse. They work under the direction of the manager to ensure a continuous flow of material through the area and help solve issues as they arise to keep production moving smoothly. They also help with inventory accuracy, continuous improvement, project implementation, and everyday improvements. They support the manager in improving and maintaining best practices for safety, 5-S, quality, productivity, scanning accuracy, updating location maintenance, and training employees. Your Impact
- Leading a team of warehouse employees. Assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training and guidance.
- Managing inventory by monitoring stock levels, overseeing the receipt and storage of incoming goods, and ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Supporting internal departments by ensuring material is delivered accurately and systematically to positively impact production output.
- Ensuring all equipment and tools are in good working order and submitting a work order through MPulse 9 for needed repairs.
- Overseeing cleanliness, safety, and 5-S of the work area.
- Following safety procedures and regulations and reinforcing this for employees who are non-compliant. Ensure employees conduct regular safety inspections and report all safety incidents to their manager.
- Improving warehouse operations efficiency by analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to enhance overall efficiency.
- Being a role model for employees by providing guidance and mentoring for team members.
- Promote a team environment through effective verbal and written communication.
- Foster an environment of learning through effective training and cross training of assigned employees.
- Develop and maintain relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Oversee daily start up meetings.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring employees are scanning, counting, and updating Location Maintenance per company requirements. Your Experience and Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of progressively responsible or related experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Solid grasp of manufacturing or warehouse concepts, methods, and techniques.
- Prior Microsoft experience desired.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse and material handling experience is a plus.
- Successful completion of Grain & Protein Technologies and OSHA forklift training required within one week of assuming position.
- Above average math skills.
- The ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Your Compensation and Benefits
