certified company, and leading manufacturer in the commercial hardware industry located in Waukegan, IL is looking for a Material Handler to join our growing team.Primary purpose of job:
Load trucks with outgoing material. Move, store and space material as directed. Essential functions of job, frequency and percentage of time on the job: 1. Store material in proper locations. 2. Pull material for specific orders to be packed, using pick lists, and pick slips. 3. Put back any unused material. 4. Move material to the finished goods racks. 5. Move packed orders off the floor to the staging racks. 6. Consolidate packed orders on skids for shipment. 7. Load trucks with outgoing materials. 8. Cycle count boxes 9. Move shipping and scrap material in and out of QC hold. 10. Follow OSHA and Company safety standards. 11. Must wear personal protective equipment such as ear and eye protection. 12. Other duties as assigned. Required skills, licenses, knowledge, experience or abilities: 1. Must be able to obtain license for forklift. 2. Read and comprehend all paperwork related to shipping. 3. High level of attention to detail for proper documentation to maintain accurate inventory counts. 4. Knowledge of computers to maintain inventory. 5. Ability to use and operate electronic weight scale, stapler, tape gun, automatic shrink-wrap machine, pallet jacks and hand held carts. 6. Operate order pickers.Benefits
