Job Description
ABC Healthcare, partnering with Grifols, is seeking an EMT to deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care and safe patient transport. In this role, you will assess patient conditions, provide BLS-level interventions, administer basic treatments under protocol, and communicate effectively with nurses and physicians. You'll document care accurately, maintain EMS equipment, and follow strict safety and infection-control standards. Responsibilities Provide emergency medical assessment and basic life support to patients in clinical and pre-hospital settings Safely transport patients while monitoring condition and communicating changes to medical staff Administer CPR, bleeding control, oxygen therapy, and other EMT-level interventions per protocol Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in EMR and required reports Maintain, inspect, and restock EMS equipment and supplies to ensure readiness Follow infection-control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times Coordinate with nurses, physicians, and dispatch to support seamless patient care Educate patients and families on basic post-care instructions within EMT scope of practice Required Skills Emergency medical assessment Basic life support (BLS) CPR and first aid Patient stabilization and transport Operation of ambulance/EMS equipment Vital signs monitoring and documentation Infection control and safety protocols Electronic medical records (EMR) entry Communication with medical staff and dispatch Knowledge of EMS regulations and protocols
