  • $20 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Flexible spending account Paid time off Employee assistance program Retirement plan Qualifications Food service health code compliance High school diploma or GED Warehouse experience Full Job Description PRC is hiring two (2) part-time Warehouse Assistant/Driver positions in our Wheaton and Westmont locations.
The Warehouse Assistant/Driver will be responsible for ensuring a safe and organized food inventory warehouse space in our food markets. This position will also drive PRC vehicles to perform food rescue pick-ups at local grocery stores. Each position is 25 hours/week . Candidates must have a valid driver's license with Class C designation, or ability to obtain Class C designation, as well as ability to lift 50 pounds. The schedules for each location are as follows: Wheaton Monday
  • 8am-1pm Tuesday and Wednesday
  • 7:30am-1pm (Tuesday hours will be assisting in West Chicago) Thursday and Friday
  • 7:30am-12pm Occasional Saturdays Westmont Monday
  • 9am-4pm Tuesday
  • 7:30am-2pm Wednesday-Friday
  • 7:30am-11am Occasional Saturdays Responsibilities Unload, receive, sort, stock, rotate, and distribute all incoming items in the warehouse, freezer, and/or cooler Assist with inventory storage and retrieval from warehouse storage racking Appropriately store and organize all incoming food and non-food deliveries in the warehouse Safely operate machinery including electric pallet jack, walkie stacker, baler, etc.
Monitor and maintain cleaning, sanitation standards, and safe food handling practices in the warehouse, food storage, and distribution areas Drive agency vehicles as needed to pick up food orders or delivery food in the local community Work with volunteers to ensure safe and efficient product unload and storage
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year of warehouse experience Food handling certification or ability to obtain in the first 30 days of employment Class C driver's license or ability to obtain in the first 90 days of employment OSHA Class 3 certification or ability to obtain in the first 90 days of employment
Pay:
$19.00
