Job Description
Material Handler 1st Shift | Utilimaster | Bristol, IN (Main) Regular Employee | Hourly Non-Exempt | $22.00 - 22.00 What you'll do: Order, fill, kit, stock, load, and inspect materials accurately while maintaining inventory record accuracy through transfers and cycle counts Transport materials using appropriate equipment (pallet jack, forklift, etc.) and organize/line set materials according to operations schedule Identify damaged materials and shortages, communicate issues, and follow proper handling procedures Assist with physical inventory, quality improvement efforts, and operator assistance with heavy objects Maintain safety standards, good housekeeping practices, and complete required administrative tasks What you need to be successful: High school diploma/GED with 1-2 years related experience and valid forklift license Physical ability to lift 40+ pounds, climb 20-foot ladders, and willingness to work overtime on short notice Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, barcode scanners, and familiarity with line set practices Strong attention to detail with ability to work with minimal supervision Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel) Why The Shyft Group?
