Job Description

Summary:
Operating an electric forklift to gather, move, deliver and store materials as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Load and unload trailers, containers and the box truck Ensure products are properly packaged, banded and wrapped for shipment Select, stage and prepare items for shipment Ensure accuracy of selected products, both in quantity and product code to Bill of Lading Frequently lifting boxes weighing between 10 -30 pounds; occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds Assist with pulling Grainger orders as required Maintain cleanliness of warehouse. Adhere to all company and department safety requirements Education and/or
Experience:
Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent required. 3-6 months of experience as a Material Handler preferred.
Qualification Requirements:
Must have a current forklift license or be able to obtain one. Must understand Inventory Process and Procedures.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, BOL/BOM, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Speak audibly, and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

The majority of the time is spent standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handling or feeling, talking, hearing, pushing and pulling carts weighing up to 200 pounds, frequently lifting boxes weighing 10 -30 pounds, occasionally lifting boxes up to 50 pounds.

Working conditions include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and working near moving mechanical parts/ machinery and forklifts. The climate is influenced by outside weather conditions and includes humid, cold, and hot conditions. Sometimes the working conditions will include fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is low to moderate. Monday - Friday (Occasional Saturday) 8:30am - 4:30pm
