Full Job Description Responsibilities:

Operate industrial forklift to move materials in the warehouse or production areas as well as to load and unload trucks or shipping containers as required. Maintain general maintenance on forklift and complies with all IOSHA standards and requirements for forklift safety. Move materials as needed into or away from the production area, assists in maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness as defined by company procedures, maintaining outside dock areas cleanliness, assists in inventory processes, and other duties as assigned by director of operations. Job Duties

• Moving controls, devices, and levers to drive or operate forklifts or hand-lifts to transfer materials between unloading, processing, loading, and storage areas.
• Ensure that all goods delivered to the warehouse are in accordance with approved orders and associated bill of lading or invoice.
• Maintain records of all incoming inspection shipments from and to the warehouse, and interact with Purchasing Coordinator on warehouse stock.
• Loading or unloading materials manually, off or onto pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devises.
• Performing routine post and pre-inspections to ensure suitable working nature or forklift equipment.
• Reporting to supervisor regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or / and other safety hazards.
• Weighing products or materials, and recording weight and other production information on labels and tags.
• Consulting, working, and coordinating with supervisors, managers, equipment manufacturers, and employees regarding unloading and loading operations.
• Wrapping material loads with wrapper as required and keeping the premises clean.
• Completing forklift and / or hand-lift operator training provided by the company annually.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Operates lift truck or hand truck to move or hoist materials.
• Pull parts and / or materials for production operations as required. Qualifications
• Excellent teamwork and safety knowledge and skills.
• Excellent understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
• Ability to read labels and numbers with accuracy and consistency.
• Ability to operate in high speed and fast-paced environment.
• Good physical health, energetic, and good work ethic.
• Ability to consistently lift, move, pull, or push 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
• Prior material handling / forklift experience.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail. Special Circumstances
• Must be available to work flexible hours and on-call hours as required.
• Must be able to work independently as well as interact skillfully with delivery persons, customers, employees, and suppliers.
• Directly reports to Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Supervisor. Essential Physical Requirements
• Requires standing.
• Requires repetitive movement.
• Required to walk; use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, or tools.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

Pay:

From $19.00 per hour
